What is Halva?
This is the most important question. You can find lots of information on our "WHAT IS HALVA" page.
Why does your Halva taste so good?
Carefully selected first quality ingredients and a long process by hand. We select the best ingredients available to make a high quality Halva, with a high percentage of tahina, our first ingredient ever.
What is tahini or sesame cream?
Tahini is a food derived from white sesame seeds, very common in the Mediterranean area, North Africa and the Middle East. It is also called sesame cream.
The sesame seeds are delicately toasted, then they are ground and the resulting flour is then diluted with sesame oil, to form a paste with a creamy consistency, called Tahina.
It has a nut-like flavor with an aroma reminiscent of peanuts, but is less sweet and has a toasty note
It is rich in vitamins E, B and mineral salts such as calcium, magnesium, silicon, phosphorus, zinc and iron.
Sesame seeds also contain two substances, sesamin and sesamolin, which have been shown to have an active role in lowering the cholesterol rate by preventing cardiovascular diseases.
(We recommend that you consult a doctor for any specific health or allergy questions related to sesame seeds)
Where can I find the ingredients list and nutritional values?
The ingredients and nutritional values can be found on each product page. You will find all the information for each of our products.
Do your products contain allergens?
The ingredients indicated as allergens in our Halva are: sesame, pistachios, hazelnuts, almonds.
Is your Halva Vegan, Gluten Free and Lactose Free?
All our products are 100% vegetable, gluten-free and lactose-free. They are also a source of fiber.
Is the presence of sesame oil normal?
Our Halva is a natural food, of 100% vegetable origin, and produced with a high percentage of sesame cream (55%).
For this reason, sometimes, if not stored at optimal temperature conditions, there may be a slight separation of the sesame oil on the surface. There is no need to worry, on the contrary the phenomenon is indicative of the naturalness of the product.
How should I store Halva?
Our Halva lasts up to 10 months when stored in a cool, dry place (refer to the date indicated on the packaging).
To enjoy it at its best, we recommend consuming it within 5 days of opening.
In the warmer months it can also be stored in the refrigerator.
